Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

 

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

 

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

 

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Returns
Our policy lasts 72 hours after your package has been marked delivered. If 72 hours have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we won't offer a refund or exchange. You must email us first to initiate your return/refund. Please check out our email etiquette section for directions on how to write an email if needed.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. This includes earrings, beanies/hats, worn/washed clothing, shoes, and phone accessories that are physically attached to your phones (ex. phone grips & card wallets).

Email Etiquette
When initiating a return/cancellation/refund, please add as much detail as you can. Explanations, pictures, anything to help move the process along faster. PLEASE add your ORDER NUMBER and REASON FOR INQUIRY in the subject line of your email. This will make it much faster for you to get a response.

Cancellation Policy

Your order can be canceled within 24 hours of purchase ONLY if the package has not shipped yet. If your order has shipped, no cancellations will be allowed. Please look at our refund and return policy, if applicable.  

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. The original shipping cost will NOT be refunded

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed and applied to your original payment method or offered as a store credit. 

If your refund is not approved, your item will be shipped back to you and you will be billed for the cost of shipping.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

Sale Items and Clearance (if applicable)
Only regular-priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded and are excluded from any returns or exchanges.
 

Shipping
If you need a return address, please email us at mtsunsetleather@gmail.com. Because this is a home business, we do not publicly display our address.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
